In trying to define this topic—sustainable architecture—I found a source that is well-accredited to help me define it:
"Sustainable design or ecological design (also referred to as green design, or sustainable architecture) is a philosophy of designing buildings to comply with the principles of social, economic and ecological sustainability."
It would have been a good idea to further explain these principles. However, this could potentially make for an interesting proposal argument when developed.
